I made a phone call to book a table for our dinner. The receptionist heard me with without any attention. He didn’t ask my name, my number – the minimum information of a reservation note.
When we went here, I said that I had booked a table, the waiter said that we could choose any table. There were a lot of available table on the ground floor and upstairs (I saw that when I went to WC on upstairs).
And he recommended us to choice a table not yet to be set up. Although there were a closed one to be set up yet.
The decoration is good with the pictures of ancient Sai Gon and the warm light. At first, they turned on the Vietnamese teenager music. And for me, it is not comfortable in a Malaysian restaurant. After that, they changed music with tone that I guessed that Malaysian tone and I like it.
We used the promotion coupon to discount 49% a combo of a beef rendang and a Malaysia milk tea (Teh Tarik). There are also a promotion program to discount 50% for a beef rendang. Hence, we ordered a combo with promotion code and one more Teh Tarik.
Beef rendang was drily and salty. Rice was pasty. Milk tea was look like a mixed of Lipton tea and milk powder. Maybe it is the style of Malaysian food. And if my guess is true, I will never taste the Malaysian food.
Two funny:
– In billing, a other waiter gave me the bill: one with promotion coupon and one for my Teh Tarik. I paid by Master Card. He asked me if I could pay by cash. Because there were two bills, they will swipe my card twice. I accepted the 2nd option. But when he came back to return my card and for my confirmation on bill of credit card, he gave me only one bill with total sum of two bills.
– It was the first time, I was served with a small broken bowl at the bottom (as the attached picture).
We have no reason to return here.
